Jack Fennell is the Mayor of the Village of Dunlap, or President of the Board of Trustees. He first became involved with the board in 2005, after his late wife’s passing, when he was appointed to a trustee seat. After serving as a trustee for six years, he was elected to the Mayor/President’s seat. Mr. Fennell is originally from Princeton, IL, but has lived in Dunlap for 41 years. Jack’s family includes his late wife (2005), three sons, two daughters-in-law, and two grandsons.
He enjoys golfing, hiking, bicycling, and dancing. A few of his favorite things include home cooked ribs, the color blue, books by Lee Child, and the Christmas season. He loves many things about living in Dunlap, but the people in the community top his list. He had served his community in many ways - from his time on the village board, to the Dunlap School Board, Dunlap Recreation Association Board, prison ministry, and cancer ministry. His current term ends in Spring 2021. He is thankful to have been given the opportunity to serve our community.
