Message from the Mayor
On behalf of the board of trustees welcome to the Village of Dunlap website. Our village, although incorporated in 1952, has a long and proud history. Dunlap is located just six miles from the City of Peoria in Central Illinois. Our trustees and employees responsibly manage an annual operating budget of $922,335.00. We strive continually to make Dunlap a great place to live, work, and shop. Our business community is now working closely with the village board and other groups including the Dunlap Fire Department, Dunlap Library District and the Dunlap 323 School District to develop plans for a brighter future for Dunlap.
Our village is in a growth mode. We have annexed or pre-annexed nearly 2500 acres into our village. We continue to work with other nearby property owners who want to become a part of Dunlap. Additionally, the village has commissioned a comprehensive plan that should be completed in the fall of 2011. We hope to use this plan to guide future growth.
Please take a moment to look at the other useful information and links on our website. Our trustees and I welcome your input and hope you visit or make Dunlap your home if you haven't already!
